March 6, 2007 Board Meeting Agenda Item #19 Title APPROVAL TO INCREASE CONTRACT AMOUNTS WITH FIVE (5) DESIGN/BUILD FIRMS TO PROVIDE DESIGN/BUILD SERVICES FOR MINOR DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS PURSUANT TO NON-EXCLUSIVE CONTINUING CONTRACTS FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS Description The five (5) individual contracts for these services were Board approved on 2/21/2006 (Item #47).  The original estimate for these services for the two-year contract period was $15,000,000.00.  The volume of work from the current Construction Services Department workload has increased the need for these services.  Funds for this increase are available through individual project accounts. Recommendation That the contract amounts with the five (5) design/build firms to provide Design/Build Services for Minor Design/Construction Projects pursuant to Non-exclusive Continuing Contracts, for a period of two (2) years, be increased by $12,000,000.00.
